I was born and raised in San Antonio , Texas . A family member got me started playing drums when I was 7 years old. I began playing professionally at age 13. Since that time; I have covered all styles of music, in many musical variations. I toured with many bands over the years, including National Recording Artist Gary Stewart. After 6 years of touring with Gary , I relocated to Houston , Texas , when I was offered a house gig at one of the biggest venues in Texas . The band was also first rate, with B.B. King's keyboard player, and a guitar-slinger that toured with Prince. It was supposed to be a 6 month gig, but it continued over 2 years. After that, I was hired on with The Ezra Charles Band, an all original rockin', boogie-woogie piano-based band with a 3 piece horn section. I was with them for 4 years, touring all over Texas, Louisiana and other states, having played drums on 2 CDs. I then joined an award-winning blues band that backed up a powerful female vocalist. Having lived and played every nook and cranny in Texas, I decided to relocate to Nashville, Tennessee where I am continuing my drumming journey with new and upcoming challenges.
